THE FIRST LETTERS

The first letters - From your womb to your arms

A tender beginning preserved.

Two moments. Two letters. One unfolding story.

In the first session, you pause while expecting, to write a letter that marks this threshold. It might be addressed to the little one you are still carrying, or as a heartfelt gift to the mother carrying your child, or to the partner who shares in these precious moments with you.

The second session takes place after birth: another letter, now written with a tiny heartbeat in your arms. Both letters can be created in spaces that already hold meaning; the nursery you’ve prepared, the rocking chair where you spend quiet nights, or any other favorite corner of your home or garden.

I photograph both stages; hands resting on a growing belly, later cradling a small body, along with the quiet atmosphere that surrounds them.

Two prints on handmade paper, accompanied by a set of photographs form a tender record of this passage; a way to gather anticipation and arrival into a single story you can hold.

What's included

  • Two photography sessions: one during pregnancy and one after birth (1.5–2 hours each)

Option to write the letters fully at home, create a fragment during the shoot, or even read them aloud.

  • Two letters on handmade paper, each with its envelope.

  • Two prints on handmade paper (one per session)

  • Digital gallery with 45 images (approx. 25 per session) After your session, you'll receive a private online gallery where you can take your time selecting your favourite images. Once you've chosen your favourites, I'll share which photograph I think will translate most beautifully onto handmade paper. The texture and fibres of the paper interact differently with every image, so not every photograph works equally well. Ultimately, the choice is always yours.

Price: CHF 750 for both sessions

Option to book a single session (pregnancy or newborn) for CHF 400
